About us
Sopperogården
Sopperogården is located in Övre Soppero, in the Northern Swedish Lapland, 130 km north of Kiruna. This is the place to experience the midnight sun in the summer and the northern lights in the winter.
We offer accomodation with a unique feeling, based on the local culture and history of our neighborhood with a clear taste of Sami culture. We are commited to giving our guests a special experience and a familiar treatment.
Road E45, one of the main routes to Nordkapp from Europe, goes through our village, which makes a stop by us a perfect break!
If you travel on “Tobaksleden” (Tobacco trail) by ski or snowsled, you will find it leads close to our village, so come on in and visit us!
At the distance of a daytrip you find places like Treriksröset (where Sweden meets Norway and Finland), Karesuando, as well as areas with great fishing, hiking and opportunities to experience Sami culture.
Along with our hotel you also find “Church of the Good Shepherd“ (Den Gode Herdens kyrka), Sweden’s most northern evangelical church, with its unique interior. Worth to see and visit!
In our restaurant, we are able to serve food for guests and groups on request.
We have facilities for conferences and camps for 10-50 people.
We also run Dávvi Dallu youth hostel in Björkliden.
